Triathlons-My best friend got me into triathlons because I complained about not liking to work out just to work out so she thought if I had a goal to work toward it would help so we trained together for a tri-I seem to have been hooked. Did my first sprint tri in Aug 07, in 08 bought a road bike at Brielle, found JSTC and did 2 sprint tris, in 09 did my 1st Olympic at NJ State and 2 sprints.
Each year my goal is to complete the tri and feel good about it to try to do a bit better. I am still slow but working on it, in 09 I was finally able to run an entire 5K without walking.
For me the club has been a great support because even though we have amazing triathletes at all levels, everyone is so helpful, supportive and wants you to do your best. You are recognized for your accomplishment, no matter if you are a medal winner or just for attempting to try a triathlon and completing it.
